- At least with 2.5.8, nothing like this was neccesary (as far as I can
- remember). Of course I've only compiled later revisions with gcc2.

- Since we're having such a good discussion going, has anybody tried building
- the gnu binutils (ld and as) for Amix?
- The newest revision (2.6) has support for m68k-ELF32 and even compiles, but
- not surprisingly fails in the test suite.
- Also the 2.1 release notes state that Amix doesn't support the ELF ABI
- properly. Does this mean that it will never succeed?
- I've contacted the maintainer about this, but neither of us is familiar
- enough with Amix intrinsics to do anything about it.
